Ehime Prefecture (Ehime-ken) is located in the Chubu region on Shikoku
island, Japan. The capital is the city of Matsuyama.The city is famous
for hot springs (onsen) and is home to Dogo Onsen, the oldest hot spring
bath house in Japan. A second favorite tourist spot is Matsuyama Castle.
Eight of the eighty-eight temples in the Shikoku Pilgrimage are in Matsuyama.
SGI practice Soka Gakkai's particular form of Nichiren Buddhism. Butsudan
Buddhist altar Nichiren taught that by chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"
to the Gohonzon. SGI practitioners call this process a "human revolution."
