Hokkaido literal meaning: "North Sea Route", Ainu: Mosir, formerly
known as Ezo, is the second largest island and largest prefecture of Japan.
The Tsugaru Strait separates it from Honshu, although it is connected to
Honshu by the underwater Seikan Tunnel. The capital is the city of Sapporo.Other
major cities include Hakodate in the south and Asahikawa in the central
region. Sapporo Dome is nicknamed "HIROBA",meaning an open space.

SGI practice Soka Gakkai's particular form of Nichiren Buddhism. Butsudan
Buddhist altar Nichiren taught that by chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"
to the Gohonzon. SGI practitioners call this process a "human revolution."
