Mie Prefecture (Mie-ken) is located in the Kinki region on Honshu island,
Japan. The capital is the city of Tsu. Most of Mie is mountainous, with
a populous coastal plain along Ise Bay in the northeast, and high mountains
along the southern coast, the Shima Peninsula, and the western border with
the rest of Kinki, including a high plateau around Iga near Nara. Mie Simbol
logo is a bold design based on the Japanese mi, the first character of
the word Mie. its sloped design symblizes Mie rize and progress. Furthermore,
the circular portion of the logo represents Mie world-famous culturred
pearls.

SGI practice Soka Gakkai's particular form of Nichiren Buddhism. Butsudan
Buddhist altar Nichiren taught that by chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"
to the Gohonzon. SGI practitioners call this process a "human revolution."
