Miyazaki

Miyazaki Prefecture (Miyazaki-ken) is located on Kyushu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Miyazaki. The Western area of Miyazaki is mountainous, consisting of the Kyushu mountain range and the Kirishima volcanic zone, and the Eastern border is the coastline of the Pacific Ocean. Hiyajiru is a traditional Miyazaki food. Its ingredients include fish, tofu, and cucumber. It is best appreciated when eaten with hot rice.
