Nara Prefecture (Nara-ken) is located in the Kinki region on Honshu island,
Japan. The capital is the city of Nara. Nara is also a home of various
World Heritage sites such as Todaiji Temple, Horyuji Temple, and others
including numerous Buddhist art and architecture classified as National
Treasures and Important Cultural Asset. Nara Park beautiful lawn park extends
4km east to west and 2km north to south. Groups of deer, messengers of
the gods, roam freely through the park.

Nara Flower is Nara yae zakura (Prunus verecunda cultivar)
SGI practice Soka Gakkai's particular form of Nichiren Buddhism. Butsudan
Buddhist altar Nichiren taught that by chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo"
to the Gohonzon. SGI practitioners call this process a "human revolution."
