Oita Prefecture (Oita-ken) is located on Kyushu island, Japan. The capital
is the city of Oita. Oita is famous for its hot springs Onsen, particularly
those in and around the city of Beppu. Beppu's top sight is the nine hells
(jigoku), multicolored volcanic pits of boiling water and mud, and one
geyser. Yufuin is among the number 3 Spa town in the country in terms of
natural hot spring spa (Onsen) water capacity.
