Osaka Prefecture (Osaka-fu) is located in the Kinki region on Honshu island,
Japan. The capital is the city of Osaka. It is located in the Kansai region
of the main island of Honshu, at the mouth of the Yodo River on Osaka Bay.
Osaka regional cuisine includes okonomiyaki, takoyaki, udon, as well as
regional sushi and other traditional Japanese foods. The symbol of Osaka
called the sennari hyotan or "thousand gourds," was originally
the crest of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the feudal lord of Osaka Castle.
