Toyama Prefecture (Toyama-ken) is located in the Chubu region on Honshu island, Japan. The capital is the city of Toyama. The coat-of-arms depicts the symbolic Tateyama Range with the Japanese character TO, the first character of gToyamah imposed on the foreground. It represents Toyamafs upward reach and progression. The Gassho-stlye houses of Gokayama were named as Japanfs fourth World Heritage Site. SGI practice Soka Gakkai's particular form of Nichiren Buddhism. Butsudan Buddhist altar Nichiren taught that by chanting "Nam Myoho Renge Kyo" to the Gohonzon. SGI practitioners call this process a "human revolution."
